Tea is the most popular way to consume Turley tail, no powdering is necessary. Please note, making turkey tail tea isn’t as easy as just pouring hot water and allowing it to steep. To achieve the maximum benefit, it's recommended to boil turkey tails for at least one hour. That will help to extract as many beneficial compounds as possible. Start with five cups of water and one cup of turkey tails. Most of the water should evaporate and you should end up with one cup of concentrated turkey tail tea. Then you can simply strain the mushrooms out of the water and drink it. If you are preparing mushroom tea this way, powdering your mushrooms isn’t necessary. You can also crush the dried turkey tail into a powder using a food processor, blender or mortar and pestle.
