Nouka Black Sesame Paste is created using a time honoured method of first selecting the highest quality black sesame seeds, then slowly boiling the seeds followed by a proprietary grinding method which results in a superb paste that is both uniquely fragrant and has a pleasant mouthfeel. This product is made in Japan using ancient techniques. The flavour is described as a slightly rich, nutty flavour, with a hint of toast and a touch of natural sweetness!

RECIPES:
Black Sesame Latte (Hot or Iced)
Ingredients
1 tbsp black sesame paste
1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup
200 ml milk (dairy or oat works great)
Warm the milk in a small pot (or steam it if you have a frother). In a mug, whisk together sesame paste and honey. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking until smooth and foamy.
For iced: dissolve paste in 2 tbsp hot water first, then add cold milk and ice.
Black Sesame & Soy Noodle Sauce
Ingredients
1 tbsp black sesame paste
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp rice vinegar
½ tsp sugar (or honey)
1 clove garlic, grated
1–2 tbsp warm water (to loosen)
Whisk everything in a bowl until smooth.
Toss with cold soba, udon, or spaghetti.
Top with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
Black Sesame Yogurt Parfait
Ingredients
150 g plain or Greek yogurt
1 tbsp black sesame paste
1 tsp honey or agave
Granola or toasted oats for topping
Stir sesame paste and honey into the yogurt until evenly mixed.
Spoon into a bowl or glass, top with granola, and enjoy.
Optional: Add a few slices of banana or a drizzle of extra paste on top.
