Sweet rice flour is unique among all varieties of rice flour due to its unique starch composition of abundant amylopectin. This quality makes it very viscous when activated.
Its a Superior flavour neutral thickening agent for soups, sauces, gravies and batter coatings. Its especially good for recipes that are to be refrigerated or frozen as it inhabits liquid separation.
Traditionally popular for Japanese homemade Mochi, Manju, Chi-chi-dango, senbei and other dishes. It also is used in Korean confections, Filipino bibingka-style confections and certain Chinese dim sum.
Perishable items: Keep Refrigerated upon arrival. Best consumed within 1-4 days.
