Millet is a tiny, yellow grain-like seed with a mildly sweet, corn-like flavour that can be cooked in a variety of ways to achieve different textures. They are round seeds, approximately 1/16 to 1/8 inch in diameter. Once cooked, the texture can vary from light and fluffy to porridge-like, depending upon amount of cooking liquid.
