Meiwa kumquats have a sweet tart like flavour. They are completely edible, including the peel, flesh, and seeds (although most choose to discard the seeds). To experience the Meiwa Kumquat's balanced flavour, that they are known for, they should be consumed whole. This allows you to savour the sweetness of the peel with the acidity of the flesh. Meiwa kumquats can be eaten as a snack, added into salads, chopped into salsa, or sliced and layered over avocado toast. They can also be used as garnish or blended and used as flavouring agent in beverages or desserts.
Once cooked, Meiwa kumquats contribute a sweet and tangy flavour. Most often found simmered into marmalades, jellies, and jams. The fruits can also be cooked into compotes and used in desserts.

Orders are generally processed within 1–3 business days after the order is placed. We do not ship perishable items on Friday, they are shipped the following Monday.
